HID Global is an American manufacturer of secure identity products. The company is an independent brand of Assa Abloy, a Swedish door and access control conglomerate. Björn Lidefelt was appointed CEO on January 27, 2020. Björn holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Linköping, Sweden. He succeeded Stefan Widing, who led HID Global for over four years.

A former employee longing for better days shares his experience, "This company is very top-heavy with management and there are not many opportunities for advancement. After our company was bought by HID Global, it went from a great teamwork environment to an everyone is out for themselves environment. Most departments and locations work in silos and do not collaborate with others within the company and are not as efficient as it could be. This company does not value its employees and every person is seen as a number."

"Workinh for HID when I was 18 wasnt the best experience being the young guy you got pushed around and blamed for a lot of mistakes to cover other people’s mistakes and when work got slow you would get sent home and lose out on pay Cons: Horrible crew"

"you'll be lucky to even see they benefits the "claim" to have if they ever make you permanent. a lot of favoritism here fyi. the employees are a blast to work with but the leads and supervisors are the complete opposite. i have the skillset to work in 4 departments in this company yet I'm still temporary with none of the benefits and I've been here for nearly a year. they're "open door" policy might as well be closed. Cons: bad pay, no promotions, your voice will NOT be heard"

"AdvantiDge ID does not have a working web site taking orders. It took 5 phone calls and 3 weeks to get a simple printer ribbon. Then they offered the $25 gift card for taking the time to provide the feedback and this one did not materialized. This is not a company you want to do business today when everything is done on-line and delivered in few days."

"The system is not intuitive. I usually never watch the videos that come with a software, but there was no way to learn without the videos. Also, the functionality that is provided is expensive.if I had to start over again, I would have picked a different product."

"I like to order from Advantage. They are prompt and get our stuff right out. Their Tech Support has much to be desired. I've had problems and after I respond it takes way to long to get things fixed. 2 months ago we had a print head go out. In order to get a free replacement, I had to show an email that Advantage Teck Support wouldn't call us back for days and days. Our Waranty was voided because of the lack of service. I sent them a copy of that email and still 2 months later have not heard back about this issue. Not great Teck Support..."
